The South Downs Cycling Challenge
If you’re looking for an unforgettable cycling holiday, we suggest participating in The South Downs Cycling Challenge. This challenge is commonly regarded as being a rite of passage within the cycling community. And it’s easy to see why as this 100-mile challenge can take between three to four days to complete! The mainly off-road route will lead you through the stunning countryside of Hampshire, West Sussex and East Sussex. It starts in Winchester and finishes at Beachy Head. This trail can be completed any time of year. However, cyclist groups such as Trail Break often hold annual South Downs cycling events if you’d prefer to participate within a larger cycling group.

Gentle Cycling Trails
If The South Downs challenge sounds a little too demanding for your ideal cycling holiday, then consider a cycle trail across Salterns Way or Downs Link.
The Salterns Way is a relatively flat trail which leads you along quieter country roads. The Salterns Way is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the beautiful Sussex scenery. The Downs Link is a similarly flat off-road trail which follows an unused railway line. The Downs Link path is full of charming views as it weaves through woodlands and across rivers, making it an excellent way to enjoy the local wildlife and landscape. Bicycle Hire
We understand that many of our guests love our camping experiences as we remove the hassle of ‘normal’ camping prior to arrival – and so, for those who wish to travel with minimal luggage, there are a few cycle rentals in the area.
E-BIKE RENTALS
If you want some battery power to help you cover some miles in the saddle then get in contact with either Southern e-Bike Rentals or Whizz electric bike hire. And if you are a member of our Concierge Club you can 10% off your rental price from both suppliers.
They offer an excellent selection of traditional and e-bicycles available for hire. The staff will guide you through selecting the correct bike for your height and cycling needs. Guests can rent a bicycle for the varying durations, making it an excellent choice for short cycling breaks.
On Your Bike
Our caravan site near Chichester is ideally located for cyclists to explore the stunning local area. Here at Concierge Camping, we have an award-winning selection of deluxe touring pitches and safari lodges. Our deluxe campsite pitches have excellently kept private washrooms, log-burning stoves, and a kitchen and dining area where you can relax after a long day of cycling.
For those who don’t own their own motorhomes, we recommend treating yourself to staying in one of our effortlessly tranquil safari lodges. All our accommodation facilities include outstanding on-site amenities including a fully equipped laundry room, tumble dryer, luxurious washrooms and bathrooms.
