Wind Blown But Well…
February has been another busy and very windy month for us. In our news round-up for the month we assess the park after recent storms, update you on our plans to develop a new food court area and continue the search for the next stars of our new charity doggy calendar
Battened down the hatches!
With storm Eunice tracking across the south and record wind speeds of 122mph recorded across the solent, we battened down the hatches, gathered up the loose furnishings and made sure our bar was fully stocked!
Whilst some of guests wisely chose not to travel, others simply took advantage and extended their stay and joined us for tasty Notso treats and drinks in the bar.
Thankfully our site benefits from sitting in a small hollow and as such we suffered only superficial damage to one of our Emperor tents and a small tree simply gave up and was up-rooted.
Food Court Update
Work continues at pace on getting our new food court ready. The team have done an incredible job in this weather relocating Notso and adding the new catering unit. The menu is being refined and opening dates finalised – we hope to announce all these exciting details soon!
We are pleased to say that we will be opening longer during the day and adding an additional mid-week day for you all enjoy the new menu. To ensure you each get the service and unique Concierge Camping experience you have come to expect you will soon see a new face behind our bar. We’re sure our new team member will be a huge asset to our company and bring a new energy to our busy paradise.
2021/22 Glamping Award
As many of you will have noticed, our satisfaction and AA score of 98% mean that we were honoured to have won the 2021/22 AA Glamping site the year. This is a huge credit to our team and means a great deal to us.
With safari lodge slots still available from March and beyond we would encourage early bookings. Once the warmer weather returns these fabulous facilities will be booked up fast.
We are already accepting online bookings for 2023. We will soon do the same for 2024 bookings – perfect for those that really like to plan their holidays with us in advance!
Charity Doggy Calendar
A round of a-paws for all those doggy Mums and Dads who have submitted pictures for our charity calendar. We have been delighted to see over 70 fabulous images submitted so far. There is still time to get yours in as we will continue to accept your cute pictures until 1st July 2022. All proceeds will go to Battersea Dogs home and the real prize is bragging rights as your furry friends make their calendar debut.
