At Concierge Camping, we take the health and safety of our guests and staff as our main priority. We are closely monitoring and following all the developments and understand how unsettling the situation is. We are following Government guidance to try to do the best we can at this time.
This information is subject to change and will be updated in line with latest government advice and common sense.
It is with incredibly heavy hearts that Concierge Camping have taken the very difficult decision to temporarily close our park from Monday 23rd March, until we believe it’s safe for people to travel.
Although we have not been instructed to close, we are listening to our hearts. We must play our part in trying to reduce non-essential travel and the enormous pressure on valuable local and national emergency and other essential services. It is morally the right thing to do, we must protect every sector.
Our business insurance does not cover us for loss of earnings because COVID-19 is not on any insurers’ list of diseases. The financial burden on us will be enormous, but we feel strongly that this is the right decision.
We urge you to support us and our staff at this very difficult time, as a fledging business that has only been trading less than 5 years, the financial burden will be enormous. We WILL get through this crisis, we just need to be careful and stick together as a team.
In the past weeks we have had many cancellations, following a winter of considerable expenditure on repairs, maintenance and improvements. We know we are going to be facing a struggle, along with the rest of the country, but we are strong, determined and have an amazing team of staff working with us. Please be assured that we will all still be here and working towards re-opening the park when we are advised to do so.
We would like to thank you for your co-operation and patience at this uncertain time and hope you understand why we have undertaken this unprecedented action. Having seen the utter devastation this disease has caused in other countries it is time for us all to stand together and try to get back to normality as soon as possible.
Everyone’s ability to come through this won’t just be down to what government or business can do, but by the individual acts of kindness we show one another.
We are asking our wonderful loyal customers to defer holidays to later in the year or move to 2021. If this is not acceptable to you we will be issuing a 24 month credit voucher for you to use at date that is suited to you.
We want to look back on this time and remember how, in the face of a generation-defining moment, we undertook a collective national effort – and we stood together, and we really appreciate your support.
We cannot express how sad we all are at this current time but we are absolutely confident this is the right action to take.
Very best wishes. Stay safe. Look after each other,
Guy, Tracey & All the Concierge Camping Team x
