Welcome to Our New Electric Metering System at Concierge Camping!
Getting Ready Before You Arrive
1. Download the Metpow app from your phone’s App Store (iOS or Google Play). Look for the green plug icon.
2. Create your account by entering a few simple details. Doing this before you arrive will make setting up quick and easy.
3. When you get to your pitch, plug your unit into the electric point.
4. Open the Metpow app, tap ‘Scan QR Code’, and enter your departure date. (The default departure time is 11:00am.)
5. Set up and save your payment method. You might need to verify your identity—if you can, choose text verification for a quick code sent to your phone. Some devices may take you straight to your banking app. A minimum of £10 will be temporarily authorised by your bank, depending on your stay length.
6. Follow any other instructions in the app. Your electricity will now be switched on, and you can check your usage anytime in the app.
Note: The £10 is just a temporary hold, not a charge. If you stay within your daily electricity allowance, this hold will be released after your visit. Any extra usage will be charged fairly.
Why We’re Introducing This New System
Starting in 2025, every pitch at Concierge Camping will have its own electric meter. Modern vans use more and more electricity, so this helps us:
- Encourage everyone to use energy responsibly.
- Keep electricity costs fair for all guests.
- Protect the environment by reducing waste.
We chose Metpow because it’s easy to use, reliable, and gives you full control over your energy use.
What About Prices?
There’s no increase in pitch prices—electricity is still included. But to be fair, guests who use more than the average will pay for the extra electricity they use.
We include a generous 10 kWh per day in your stay price. If you use more than that, you’ll be charged 26p per extra kWh. For example, if you use 15 kWh in one day, you’d pay just £1.30 for the extra 5 kWh.
What This Means for You
- • Most guests won’t see any change in their costs.
- • You can track your electricity use in real time through the app.
- • If you go over the daily allowance, you’ll only pay the actual cost.
- • This system helps us keep the park sustainable and invest in improvements.
